What is the difference between Micro and Macroeconomics?

Micro

“What is the difference between Micro and Macroecnomics?”

Micro economics is focused on the individual and firms.

Macroeconomics is focused on large-scale economies like countries and nations.

How do I remember it?

In my head I think of the name directly in both cases. “Microeconomics has the word Micro, so it must mean on a smaller level. Macro then means large, so it must mean on a larger scale.”

In most cases the meaning of the word can usually be found within itself; use this trick next time you stumble and can’t seem to remember the difference!
