What is an Intermediary?

What is an Intermediary?

  • An intermediary is a third party who acts as a link between two others who wish to transact business.

How Do I  Remember It?

  • Think of an intermediary as a “middleman” in a transaction. It’s like having someone who helps you connect with someone else to complete a deal or exchange.

Real World Example

  • An example of an intermediary is a real estate agent who helps connect home buyers with sellers. The agent acts as a middleman, facilitating the transaction by finding potential buyers, showing properties, and negotiating terms on behalf of both parties.
